JTET - J2 Round 35 Review

Time was against the JTET crew this week, so the only option was for Jon Steele to record a quick-and-dirty solo mini-pod to review last weekend's J2 action!

In a brisk 8 minutes, Jon discusses defeats for the top 2 in Round 35, victory for third-placed Nagasaki, and the state of play in the relegation zone.

There's also the customary preview of this weekend's games (Round 36), which could see both Yokohama FC and Shimizu clinch promotion back to J1 (if they don't shit their pants like they did in Round 35).

Hope the pod is a decent listen, and Jon and James should be back together for a 'normal' JTET next week!

J-Talk: Short Corner - J3 Round 33 Review

It's another standalone outing for Mike 'The Magic' Innes and his J3-focused 'Short Corner' mini-pod this week!

In this episode, Mike congratulates Omiya on their J3 title win, as well as reviewing all the rest of the weekend's Round 33 action.

In a standalone JTET mini-pod, Mike 'The Magic' Innes runs his forensic eye over last weekend's J3 action.

There's plenty to discuss, with under-new-ownership Omiya clinching promotion with six games to spare, as well as a heated battle for Play-Off places. At the foot of the table, there are still several teams who are in dire need of points to avoid a possible Relegation Play-Off at the end of the season.

Mike wraps things up with his customary check on the league table, and a preview of the upcoming Round 33 fixtures this weekend.

J-Talk: Extra Time – J2 Round 34 & J3 Round 31

There were plot twists galore in J2 and J3 last weekend, and James Taylor, Jon Steele and Mike Innes have all the details in this week’s JTET. First, James and Jon discussed the opening game at the Peace Stadium connected by Softbank in Nagasaki, where the generous visitors were Oita (start to 17:50), then Kofu’s surprise win over Okayama (17:50 to 26:30) and the draw between relegation-threatened Tochigi and Ehime (26:30 to 37:55). Next, it’s Most Bravo Player time (37:55 to 43:20), there’s a preview of the next round of fixtures (43:20 to 50:00) and of this weekend’s J-Talk LIVE at the Yokohama Football Film Festival (50:00 to 55:00). Then Mike takes over for a full review of J3 matchday 31 in J-Talk: Short Corner (55:00 to end).

Episode 540 - J1 Matchday 33

On this week's episode Jonny and Ben kick things off by rounding up events from last midweek, including Hajime Moriyasu's latest Japan squad (to 15:15), before Dan Orlowitz jumps on board to preview Saturday's J-Talk Live event at the Yokohama Film Festival - have you got your tickets yet?!

Then in Part 3 (from 24:53) Jonny and Ben review all of the games from J1 Matchday 33, beginning at the bottom, with Tosu and Sapporo seemingly doomed, and Iwata's survival hopes on life support.

At the top Hiroshima and Kobe maintained their terrific form, but it looks like curtains for Machida's title hopes after they were battered at home by Kawasaki.

JTET - J2 Round 33 Review

The JTET boys are back with another J2-focused episode!

In Part 1 this week, Jon and James look back on the big match from last weekend, as the top two clashed at the National Stadium in Tokyo (Start to 21:10).

In Part 2, the gents take a detailed look at the state of the J2 league table with 5 rounds left to play. Up for discussion are the Play-Off places (21:10 to 27:15), and the relegation zone (27:15 to 34:30). There is also time for a chat about Jon and James' picks for Most Bravo Player for Round 33 (34:30 to 42:30).

To finish things off, the tiring daddies preview all of the action coming up this weekend in Round 34 (42:30 to Finish).

After another massive weekend at both the top and bottom of the J1 table, Sean Carroll made a very welcome return to the pod to chat with Jonny and Ben about the top of the table clash in Hiroshima, Kobe surging up to second, and all of the relegation dogfight combatants after a mixed series of results for them (to 1:11:55).
