Episode 430 - Reds Rule the East; J1 Matchday 27

Ralf Seidl (@akakichinoeleven on Twitter) makes his J-Talk debut to look back on Urawa's astonishing victory on penalties over Jeonbuk in the East Region Final of the ACL last Thursday night, yet another storied occasion in Reds' love affair with the competition. Ralf also shares his thoughts on the state of the SaiSta club, and their progress under Ricardo Rodriguez (to 38:00).

Then we work our way through the six games from J1 Matchday 27 played over the weekend, notable for some big wins at either end of the table, and some woeful officiating in pretty much every game.

JTET - J2 Round 32 & J3 Round 21 Review

The JTET team are back again with a full roundup of all of the latest J2 & J3 news.

In Part 1 (02:40 to 46:40), James Taylor and Jon Steele discussed 4 of the big J2 games from last weekend, including a spirited post-match rant and a superb long-range goal.

Episode 429 - Reds Rolling in ACL; J1 Matchday 26

Sam welcomes Jonny Nicol to the co-hosts chair on this week's episode, for a comprehensive roundup of both continental and domestic action.

Urawa are running roughshod over their ACL opponents, but Kobe's conquerors Jeonbuk loom large in the East final on Thursday (to 31:20).

Then J1 takes centre stage, after another abbreviated matchday (A.C.L., not C.O.V.I.D.-related) that still saw plenty of drama - Hiroshima surge to second as Kawasaki lurk with intent, while down the other end an eight-way #RelegationDogfight looks set to puzzle and confound the rest of the way.

J-Talk: Extra Time J2 MD31 & J3 MD20

James Taylor and Jon Steele bring the noise with another action-packed weekend in J2. They discussed surprise wins for lowly Ryukyu at Nagasaki and Omiya at Sendai, as well as Machida’s victory over JEF United. James rounded up the rest of the action, and then Jon and James looked ahead to matchday 32. Mike Innes rounds up the goalfests from J3 round 20 in J-Talk: Short Corner.

Episode 427 - J1 Matchday 24

We begin our chat about the weekend's J1 action at Todoroki, where Kawasaki kept their top flight title hopes alive thanks to Jesiel's dramatic late winner, and then move on to the surprise sacking of Rene Weiler at Kashima, followed by the wins for Kashiwa and Cerezo that took them above Antlers in the table.

The second half of the episode is focused on the dogfight, with Shimizu the big winners down there after they hauled themselves off the foot of the table with a win in the capital that was chock full of talking points.

JTET - J2 Round 29 / J3 Round 19 Review

Swinging into action again, the JTET team review all of the latest J2 and J3 action.

This week, Jon Steele was joined by James Taylor for a look at three of the biggest games from Round 29 in J2. 

After a solo round-up of the rest of the action from Jon, the boys preview all of the fixtures coming up in Round 30 this weekend.

After that, Mike ‘The Magic’ Innes is back and banging in ‘J-Talk: Short Corner’ – he has all of the J3 match action from Round 19 in this segment!

Episode 426 - J1 Matchday 23

We were delighted to welcome Dan Orlowitz back to the pod for an in depth chat about the league's COVID situation, Urawa's punishment for their supporters' indiscretions, and of course a full review of the weekend's J1 Matchday 23.

We discuss the top seven to around 54:00, then finish with what is shaping as a relegation dogfight for the ages.
