Episode 338 - J1 Matchday 23

Kawasaki continue to roll, and after we might have been accused of starting to take their amazing season for granted, we right that wrong by hailing the champions-elect and their phenomenal performance - the latest example a 3-0 home win over Nagoya.

We move on to an excellent week for both Osaka clubs, before Ben has a sook about the officials in the Yokohama FC v FC Tokyo game, and we give props to Sapporo and Shonan after much needed wins, and also Urawa, who hit Sendai for six.

Episode 337 - J1 Matchday 21

A couple of crunch games involving top six teams dominated the J1 Matchday 21 fixture list, and we lead this episode with the narrow victories for Gamba Osaka and Nagoya that further tightened things up in the Scramble for Second Spot.

Kawasaki's home win and Urawa's smash and grab in Tosu follow, before we sink our teeth into the goal-fests elsewhere.

The race for promotion to J1 is hotting up as the days & nights grow cooler, so Jon Steele & Stuart Smith take a look at the fab 4 at the top of J2. The gentlemen talk: 

- Tokushima's home draw fetish

- The Avispa Fukuoka juggernaut

- Disaro-less Giravanz Kitakyushu wobbling

- Post game shenanigans overshadow a crucial Nagasaki win

Episode 336 - J1 Matchday 20

Kawasaki passed another test on their seemingly inevitable march to the J1 title away at (then) second-placed Cerezo Osaka on Saturday, and Lionel Piguet (who was there for JSoccer Magazine) and Neil Debnam guest in Part 1 to talk about Frontale's 3-1 triumph (to 32:00).

Then Jonny Nicol returns with his Gamba Osaka side in the midst of an excellent winning run, their latest victory at home over Kashima (to 1:01:06), before we run through the other games from the Matchday 20 slate, including Kobe's remarkable away win over Yokohama F.Marinos, and Michael Olunga carrying on his merry way with another brace in Kashiwa's win at Yokohama FC.
