On this bumper new episode we discuss Kawasaki's surprising loss at Oita on Saturday that saw them fluff their first chance at sealing the title, before we round up the rest of the games - including Gamba keeping the title race 'alive' with their win at Urawa.

Along the way we take stock of the teams between second and sixth that are battling it out for an Emperor's Cup semi final berth and the 2021 ACL spots, then in Part 3 we debut a new segment of the pod and look ahead to the upcoming week in both J1 and the ACL.

Then all we can do is marvel at Super Shun Nagasawa's hat trick in Sendai's dismantling of Gamba Osaka, before we work our way through the other Matchday 27 games.

Episode 341 - Corona Strikes Again

The Levain Cup final scheduled for Saturday was postponed after a COVID-19 outbreak at Kashiwa Reysol, and Dan Orlowitz from The Japan Times guests to discuss the timeline of events from last week, and what the J.League might do in terms of shoehorning Kashiwa's postponed league fixtures and the rescheduled final in to an already epically busy fixture list.

We also chat about what lies ahead for Reysol's final opponents, FC Tokyo, as well as Kobe and Yokohama F.Marinos in the ACL bubble in Qatar beginning at the end of the month, and give our thoughts on a question on Kobe from a supporter on Patreon (to 41:25).
